BioNick was born and raised in Columbiana County. Growing up in a steelworker’s home, Nick learned the value of hard work at an early age. He graduated from Lisbon David Anderson High School in 1993 Magna Cum Laude. He later studied at Kent State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Political Science. While at Kent, he was inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. He held a position as a teaching assistant in a course entitled American National Government. He served on the Board of Directors for the Community Service Counsel. He volunteered at various charitable organizations. During his junior year, he was named the Shirley Robb-Dubetz Law Scholar.During his course of study, Nick served as an intern in the United States House of Representatives. He later accepted a scholarship to the University of Akron School of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude with a Juris Doctor degree. He served on the Akron Law Review, where his article on charitable fraud was selected for publication. Upon graduation, Nick accepted a position as a law clerk to the Seventh District Court of Appeals. He later served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for Columbiana County. He served as Columbiana County Treasurer for six years. Nick is Vice President of the Lisbon Community Foundation. He is a member of the NAACP, the Columbiana County Bar Association, the Columbiana County Historical Society, the County Township Association, and the County Farm Bureau. Nick is now serving his first term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He lives in Lisbon with his wife Brandy, their daughters, Audrey and Abigail and their two dogs.
