BioRichard Baughn, 52, the proud father of two children (Cory, 22, and Katie Elise, 20), grew up on a farm in Lynn, Alabama. As the son of a cattle-farmer and a USPS postmaster, Richard was taught homegrown Alabama values of faith, a strong work ethic, the value of a dollar, and treating others with respect. Richard graduated from Lynn High School an academic honor student. He then attended Walker College before beginning his employment with UPS, where he has stayed with the company and worked directly in our communities for over 30 years! Richard Baughn has lived and worked in our communities in District 14 his entire life; getting to know the people who call Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston counties home. He has seen first-hand the needs, concerns and challenges our hard-working families face today. His family faces the same challenges. Richard will fight to keep good jobs in our communities and to create new good-paying jobs. He will work tirelessly to eliminate job-killing government bureaucracy and red tape that is hurting our small businesses and, instead, create a pro-growth environment that will keep and attract new jobs. Richard will reign in taxes, demand fiscal discipline, make government smaller and more efficient, and provide leadership with integrity. Richard Baughn attends Old Zion Methodist Church and teaches Sunday School there.
