Bio

Representative Oliver Robinson was elected in 1998. He was born on March 13, 1960, and received his B.S. in Urban Affairs from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He and his wife, Sakina, are the parents of three children- Amanda, Adriana, and Oliver, III. Representative Robinson is a former San Antonio Spurs basketball player, is a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in West End, Phi Beta Sigma, and the Birmingham Public Park and Recreation Board. He was also distinguished as the Birmingham Business Journal's Top 40, Under 40 in 1996, 1991 Class of Leadership Birmingham, and Treasurer of the Keep Birmingham Beautiful Commission.
