BioRepresentative Barry Moore represents Coffee County in the Alabama House of Representatives. He is a freshman in the Alabama House after winning the District 91 seat in 2010 in his first attempt at elected office and Moore hit the ground running, quickly taking on corruption and special interests by co-sponsoring several bills in his very first session that delivered the most sweeping ethics reform in the history of Alabama politics. He also now serves on the Small Business and Commerce, Constitution and Elections, and Military and Veterans Affairs committees.“My goal is to make Alabama the most business friendly state in the Union. Eliminating corruption and restoring transparency in our government is just the start of that. Forbes listed us as the 25th most business friendly state in 2010. But, with our climate and vast human and physical resources, just imagine the possibilities for growth as our new Republican majority focuses on creating the strongest economic climate possible.” Moore is a serial entrepreneur and, most recently, founder of Barry Moore Industries, an Enterprise, AL based small-business with numerous subsidiaries in various industries including commercial waste management, demolition, paving, and document destruction. It is this experience and his common-sense, business friendly political stance that have garnered Moore the endorsement of pro-business organizations such as the Business Council of Alabama, National Federation of Independent Business, Alabama Retail Association, Alabama Trucking Association and the Alabama Association of Realtors, among others. Moore is a long-time deacon and Sunday school teacher at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Enterprise where he and his family attend. He enjoys attending his kids activities as well as boating, deep sea fishing, and Auburn football. The Moore family also actively participates in charitable endeavors including an annual Christmas event that provides presents for foster children living in Coffee County. Moore is a graduate of Enterprise High School and Auburn University and is married to the former Heather Hopper of Rainsville, AL. They have 4 kids- Jeremy, Kathleen, Claudia, and Jeb.
