Ms. Jackson ended her law school career by graduating in the top fourteen percent of her class (18 out of 128). In April 2005, Ms. Jackson was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar Association. As a practicing attorney, Ms. Jackson hones her skills and talents at the Law Offices of Willie Hunter, Jr. practicing in both the Monroe and Baton Rouge areas. This opportunity only seems fitting as she spent seven years clerking for Attorney Hunter and thriving from the mentoring relationship that had developed between the two of them. In September 2005, Attorney Jackson became the attorney for the Labor & Industrial Relations Committee of the Louisiana House of Representatives while continuing her private practice with the Law Office of Willie Hunter, Jr. During her time as the attorney for Labor, Ms. Jackson worked for the entire body of the House and advice them on best practices for enhancing business and creating jobs. With this driving desire, Attorney Jackson accepted the position of Executive Director with the Louisiana Legislative Black Caucus. Joining forces with the caucus allowed Ms. Jackson to combine her two interests, change through legislative action and helping all people across the state while continue in her private practice. Attorney Jackson now continues to maintain an active practice in law in the Monroe area with the Law Office of Willie Hunter, Jr. Ms. Jackson attributes her accomplishments to not just having a dream, but having a dream that lines up with God's plan for her life.
