Bio

Linda J. Miller was first elected in 2006. Linda is a registered nurse. She was born on August 27, 1947, in Creston, Iowa. Her father, Dale, and mother, Elsie, were small business owners. She has two siblings, Sonny, deceased, and Larry, Senior Consultant at Wells Fargo. She grew up in Greenfield, Iowa, where she attended the public school system. Following high school graduation, she attended the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing, Drake University and the University of Iowa, where she graduated in 1968.

In 1977, Linda married Harold in Burlington, Iowa. Together, they have six children, Eric, Chicago, a computer consultant, Brad, Des Moines, a Chef, Jana, Rochester, Minnesota, a Pediatric emergency room physician, Christine, Omaha, a computer engineer, Cathleen, Rock Island, an English Major at Augustana College, and Emily, Bettendorf, a Chemistry Major at Bryn Mawr College. Linda and Harold have three grandchildren, Lars, Lisel, and Evelyn. Linda is a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bettendorf, Iowa. She belongs to several civic and professional organizations, including Davenport One, the Bettendorf Chamber of Commerce, Bettendorf Rotary, Scott Community Foundation Board, Davenport Community School Foundation Board, the Iowa Medical Alliance, and the Scott County Medical Alliance.

Linda was honored with the Chairmen’s Award for Outstanding Committee Chair from Davenport One and was Member of the Year for the State Medical Alliance.
