Bio

Ed is a native of Hartselle, AL and graduate of Hartselle High School. After getting married in 1993 to Wendi Brown he spent the next 4 years serving our Country in the United States Air Force.

In the Air Force Ed received his training in Radiology, graduating at the top of his class. Ed also received the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal along with other accommodations. Ed left the Air Force in 1997 working for Hewlett Packard as a Medical Sales Representative, and then spent 6 years with Decatur General Hospital as a CT Technologist. Ed currently works for The Heart Center where he has been a Cardiac Imaging Specialist since 2007.

Ed was introduced to politics in 1998 when Ed and his family volunteered for Mike Ball’s campaign for House District 9. He volunteered again in 2002 when Rep. Ball was elected to neighboring House District 10. Ed was inspired by Gov. Mike Huckabee, becoming an organizer for the Morgan County chapter of the HuckPac and campaigning for him during his 2008 bid to become the Republican nominee for President.

“I saw in Gov. Huckabee a servant’s heart and I realized that we need more people like him at all levels of government”, stated Ed.

Ed is a husband and a father. He attends Fairview Church of God in Falkville, AL where he volunteers for weekly services. While in office, his goals include bolstering the economic growth of the Tennessee Valley, developing a stronger Education system that is focused on our children, and creating stronger Ethics Reform Laws that will clean up our State Government and provide more transparency.
