BioBorn and raised in the 86th House District of Alabama, I have been married to the former Ellen Vise for 28 years. We have one daughter, Beth. My family and I are active members of Logos Baptist Church. After 30 years at Sony of Dothan, I was faced with the unexpected closing of the plant. I, along with 300 Wiregrass residents, were losing our jobs. It was a scary time. I was very fortunate to be hired as a salesman with WDHN-TV. However, I still worry about my friends at Sony and all the others who have lost their jobs. Presently, I serve as the District 3 Commissioner for the City of Dothan. I also serve as the representative for Dothan on the Alabama Municipal Electric Authority, Chairman of the Metropolitan Planning Organization, Campaign Chairman of the Wiregrass United Way, and am a past president of the 2nd Congressional District. I serve on the Leadership Team in the current “Yes We Can” movement to improve our Dothan City Schools. From 1997 to 2005, I served on the Houston County Healthcare Authority for the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. The experience I have gained in my work, as well as community service, has strengthened and expanded my leadership and management skills to prepare me for representing the people of House District 86. During my service as District 3 Commissioner, Dothan has resurfaced over 60 miles of roads and budgeted $1.5 million per year for future resurfacing. In the last three years, the city has implemented a schedule rotation and budgeted funding for replacing emergency, garbage and electrical vehicles. We must have EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP to guide Alabama into the future, to bring new business into southeast Alabama, and to provide jobs for today and tomorrow. My pledge to you is to continue to be accessible and accountable to the citizens of House District 86 and continue working hard to make Alabama an even more viable place to live, work and raise our families. I SINCERELY ASK FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND VOTE. Family Paul has been married to the former Ellen Vise of Dothan for 28 years. Their daughter, Beth, is age 16 and attends Providence Christian School.
