BioA graduate of Cartersville High School, Shorter College, and Georgia School of Banking, Paulhas been an active servant of the people throughout life, serving as a minister, banking professional, and an active community volunteer. Paul began his professional career in banking at Cartersville Federal Savings and Loan in 1969. In 2007 he retired as County President of Crescent Bank, where he now serves on the Board of Directors. Paul chose to go into the ministry in 1980, first at Macedonia Baptist Church in Euharlee followed by ten years at Peoples Valley Baptist Church, and finally at Friendship Baptist Church until 2000. Paul has served as Chairman of the Cartersville/Bartow County Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he has served as Vice Chair of the Etowah Educational Foundation, and on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Bartow County. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Bartow County Community Foundation, Board of Trustees for the Georgia Highlands College Foundation, and Board of Trustees for North Metro Tech College Foundation. He further serves on the Governmental Affairs Committee for Cartersville/Bartow County, the Chamber Transportation Study Committee, and the Bartow County Civic Center Committee. He currently serves on the Bartow Industrial Development Authority, was recently appointed to the Joint Development Authority and is a member of the Bartow Rotary Club. Paul and his wife, Marijon, a retired educator, married in 1968, have two grown daughters, Kory McDaniel and Kerron Bonds. They have five grandchildren.
