BioArkansas State Senator Alan Clark represents Senate District 13, which is comprised of Hot Spring County and parts of Garland, Grant and Saline counties. Serving his first term in the Arkansas Senate during the 89th General Assembly, Senator Clark is a member of the following committees- Senate Education; Senate Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development; Senate Rules, Resolutions and Memorials; Legislative Joint Auditing; Joint Budget Committee (JBC); Joint Public Retirement and Social Security Programs; and JBC - Peer Review. Professionally, Senator Clark is vice president and chief operating officer of Clark¡¦s Building and Decorating Center. In 2011, Senator Clark was named Associate of the Year by the Hot Springs Home Builders Association. Professionally, he has been active in several organizations, including „h National Lumber Building Materials Dealers Association, Board of Directors, „h Mid-America Lumberman¡¦s Association, Past President, „h POS Pace Committee (Ace Hardware), Past Chairman, „h Central Arkansas Ace Team, Past President, „h Hot Springs Home Builders Association, Board of Directors, „h Garland Quorum Court Member (1992-1996), and „h Garland County Planning Commission, Past Member. A native of Hot Springs, Senator Clark is married to the former Jana Pruitt. The Clarks have one daughter and one son, are active in their church, and reside in Lonsdale.
