Course Description

Chris Cannon from GCEE will be the instructor for this course.

There is no registration fee for this GCEE workshop, lesson materials are included, and substitute reimbursement is offered.  

Lunch is also included.

 


Class Notes

This one-day workshop focuses on a variety of economic topics and their correlations with various historical topics from the 5th grade Social Studies curriculum.

 

Teachers participate in simulations, activities, and discussions that deepen their own understanding of the economic themes behind these historical events as well as preparing to teach them to 5th graders.

 

There is no fee for attendance. GCEE will reimburse systems for substitutes, provide lunch, and distribute curriculum materials to participants.

If you need to cancel your class registration, you must contact the Registrar, Jennifer Hale (jhale@okresa.org) PRIOR to the registration deadline. If you cancel after the registration deadline or do not show up for class you will be billed for the class.

Certificate of Completion Policy

In order to receive your Certificate of Completion you must complete the Professional Learning Survey that will be sent out after the course. You will have two (2) weeks after the survey is sent to complete it. If you do not complete the Professional Learning Survey in the timeframe you will not receive your Certificate of Completion.
