Course Description

This is a 50-hour on-line course that satisfies the mandate of the House of Representative Bill 671, which requires the maintenance of Georgia teaching certificates through course work on identifying and teaching students with special needs. The course will open on January 14 and contains 11 modules that each must be completed at 80% to determine satisfactory. The purpose of this course is to improve the quality of instruction for all students by increasing the capacity of teachers to identify the characteristics of learners with special learning needs and to assist them in meeting those special needs through adapted instructional strategies.
