Course Description
The SLO Assessment Development Course is designed for content experts, such as teachers who wish to create a regionally developed SLO assessment for their assigned course. The purpose of the course is to enhance participant’s knowledge of the SLO assessment development forms (Content Alignment, Table of Specifications, and Criteria Table) and the recommended steps needed to construct these forms. After attending this course, educators should be able to successfully complete all SLO assessment development forms and create SLO assessment items/tasks designed to measure what they are intended to measure. For further support, it is recommended that leaders and teachers also view the Investigating Depth of Knowledge (DOK) module that is located on the TLE Electronic Platform. Since DOK is an intricate component of the SLO assessment development process, the DOK module serves as a wonderful resource when developing SLO assessments.

Target Audience:  Content Experts, such as teachers, school leaders, instructional coaches, etc.
