Course Description

In this session, participants will engage in processes that support effective curriculum, assessment, and instruction design and implementation along with high quality instructional planning.  Given that technology integration should not be a stand-alone process, this will be embedded throughout each section. Specific tasks are as follows: 

Building Foundations for Designing a Rigorous Curriculum

1.      Identify Units of Study

2.      Assign Priority Standards and Supporting Standards

3.      Prepare Local Pacing Guides Based on GaDOE Frameworks, Pacing Guides, Content Weights, and
  Local School System Calendars    

4.      Develop Unit Planning Organizers

 

Designing Units/Lessons of Study

1.      Assign DOK Levels to Standards

2.      Decide the Big Ideas, Learning Targets, and Essential Questions

3.      Create the Summative/End-of Unit Assessment

4.      Plan Differentiated, Rigorous, and Engaging Learning Experiences

5.      Identify Resource Materials

6.      Complete the Unit Planning Organizer

7.      Develop Formative Assessments

8.      Develop Daily Lessons

If you choose DISTRICT/SYSTEM PAY as your payment method, the district must submit a system check to pay for the class. Please make payable to Oconee RESA and send to address below.

Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy
Notification of cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received before the registration deadline. Withdrawals/Cancellations received after the registration deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be refundable.
