Gifted Endorsement Blended On-line
Course Four
Participants will be provided an overview of major program models and principles that govern the development of differentiated programming and curriculum for gifted students. This is the last of four classes in the Gifted Endorsement and completion of the first three courses is required before taking this course.
The Gifted In-Field Endorsement Program is offered through four courses:
1. Characteristics of Gifted Students
2. Methods and Materials for Teaching the Gifted
3. Assessment of Gifted Students
4. Curriculum and Program Development for the Gifted
Teacher/Candidate Prerequisites
• Clear Renewable Georgia Teacher Certification
• Currently employed by a Georgia School System
• A minimum of two years of successful teaching experience
• Recommendations from two administrators (Professional Learning Director/Coordinator and your building principal) • Proficiency with technology • Mastery of GPS or appropriate QCC
Each course is 50 hours. Attendance at all face-to-face meetings is required. THIS IS A COMBINATION ONLINE AND FACE TO FACE COURSE
