Course Description

The PreK through 5th Grade Math Instructional Toolkit sessions are designed to help make sense of children's mathematics!

The key strategies presented in the modules will provide teachers with a variety of tools needed to develop mathematical thinkers and problem solvers. The modules are specifically designed for novice teachers, GaTAPP teachers, and teachers who have changed grade bands or need a review, as well as PreK-5th grade support teachers. As each of the three modules can stand alone, teachers may register for one module or all three. Each session will provide opportunities to learn more about Mathematical Growth Mindsets, Math & Literature, and Hands-On Math activities.


  • Exploring Math Tasks that are grade specific
  • GaDOE Tasks, Three Act Tasks
  • Formative Assessment Lessons (FAL)
  • Analyzing student work & student self-assessment
  • Using data for flexible grouping practices 


*Registrants must attend both days in order to receive PLU credit*

This is a 2-day workshop, November 4 and December 2. 

Separate registration is not required for Day 2. 

Participants should bring laptop and earbuds.

Registration for courses must be received online prior to the registration deadline. Space is limited and is based on first come, first serve basis. Your registration status will remain pending until we receive the registration fee and approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. Registration Fees are posted for each course.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
