Course Description

The 2^nd Annual Intervention/Assistive Technology Fair will provide K-12 educators an opportunity to view the latest instructional resources that can be used to improve academic achievement for struggling learners. Vendors will display their instructional resources and present a brief overview about how the instructional resource will impact K-12 instruction and increase student achievement. The Intervention Fair will give educators a look at the latest developments in instructional support for struggling learners and provide an opportunity to assess how the intervention might impact students in their system and/or school. Come see how to take the implementation of the Pyramid of Intervention to the next level! This is an opportunity for schools to compare instructional resources to get the “best bang for their buck!”

Special Note: Last year registration was closed early due to high enrollment. We expect the fair to fill up before the registration deadline so please register in a timely manner.

Audience: RtI Personnel, Curriculum Specialists, Instructional Coaches, Special Education, Title 1 and School Administrators, Classroom Teachers

Hotel Information: For those conference participants who would like to arrive early and spend the night prior to the seminar, we have secured a good rate at two local hotels, which are both 5-10 minutes away from our facility. The Holiday Inn (inside rooms) has a rate of $99.95 for a standard room. Their phone number is 877-863-4780. The Hampton Inn (outside rooms like in Macon) has a single rate of $75.00 or a double rate for $85.00. Their phone number is 770-229-9900. Both hotels have a complimentary breakfast, fitness center, pool, and high speed internet connection.

Griffin RESA reserves space in professional learning classes and workshops for employees of our member systems (Butts, Fayette, Griffin/Spalding, Henry, Lamar, Newton, Pike, and Upson). In the rare event when classes are full or overbooked, slots must be made available for employees of member systems. Priority of class availability is as follows:

Certified personnel under contract with a member system or RESA
Classified personnel of a member system or RESA
Certified personnel under contract with a system that is a member of a RESA outside the Griffin RESA area
Personnel of a state agency
Presently unemployed persons from the Griffin RESA area seeking renewal of certificate
Personnel employed by a system that is not a member of a Griffin, such as private schools or agencies
Out-of-State personnel

The fee displayed for the class is the fee for personnel in categories 1 and 2. Personnel in categories 3 - 7 are subject to an out-of-area fee, when applicable. Please contact our office if you have questions about fees.

***Cancellations***

We accept cancellations up to seven days before a scheduled class. After this date, registrants will be charged and are welcome to send a replacement. No-shows will be charged.
