TKES Initial Credentialing Training

Course Description

This course is designed for school and district leaders who are responsible for evaluating teachers.  The one and a half day course will prepare participants to use Teacher Keys properly.  The course, and an exam that must be passed with at least 80% accuracy, will fulfill the requirements to be a credentialed TKES evaluator. 

Goals below support the primary purpose of the TKES Theory of Action per the Georgia department of Education:

  • Optimize student learning and growth
  • improve the quality of instruction by ensuring accountability for classroom performance and teacher effectiveness
  • Contribute to successful achievement of the goals and objectives defined in the vision, mission, and goals of Georgia Public Schools
  • Provide a basis for instructional improvement through productive teacher performance appraisal and professional growth
  • Implement a performance evaluation system that promotes self-growth, instructional effectiveness
