Course Description

Workshop includes at no cost to the teacher or school system (Full day of instruction, textbook, swag bag, online resources, lunch, completion certificate, class resources mailed to each teacher after completion). We do not cover the cost of substitute teachers or teacher stipends, but all other training costs are covered by Code.org and Georgia Tech CEISMC, our regional partner. This workshop targets grades K-5, but those in grades 6-7 will also find topics suitable for their classes. Additional details about location, lunch, and arrangements will be emailed to registrants a week prior to the workshop. Please contact Tanya Cheeves (Cheeves@pd.code.org) for questions or to set up additional workshops in your own area. Code.org has developed an elementary school curriculum that allows even the youngest students to explore the limitless world of computing. Courses blend online, self-guided and self-paced tutorials with “unplugged” classroom activities that require no computer.

Please bring a charged laptop or Chromebook.
