Course Description

In this course, special education teachers and other service providers will take an indepth look at Assistive Technology (AT) as a part of the IEP process.

Topics such as:

  • What does IDEA say about the consideration of AT services and devices.
  • How to document AT considerations in order to develop compliant sections of the IEP.
  • How to locate needed resources related to AT.
  • How to align individual student needs to AT in order to access instruction?  

Participants will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with peers to determine AT services and devices based on student profiles during the 1 day session.

Please bring a laptop or tablet to this course.

Lunch will be provided.
