Course Description
This course will provide a comprehensive analysis of student behavior through the development of Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). The FBA uses a systematic approach to behavior analysis. The (BIP) identifies interventions and strategies used for helping develop and master socially appropriate behaviors. Learning objectives include:

•      Identifying behaviors that negatively impact  or disrupt the students’  progress in the academic setting 

•      Define behavior into observable and measurable actions

•      Determine the function of student behavior

•      Determine effective interventions to address specific target behaviors

•      Develop accountability measures to assess intervention effectiveness
