Course Description

Focus: Linking upgraded media and digital literacy to the Common Core States Standards. All participants need to bring a laptop, i-pad, or cell phone to this session. In a provocative and practical session, Dr. Jacobs will engage participants in transforming your school and classroom into a contemporary learning environment.

Bio of Heidi Hayes Jacobs:
Heidi Hayes Jacobs, president of Curriculum Designers, Inc., has served as an education consultant to thousands of schools nationally and internationally.  She works with schools and districts on issues and practices pertaining to curriculum reform, assessment analysis, and strategic planning.  She has worked with College Board, NBC Sunday Today Show, PBS Teacherline, the Discovery Channel, Children’s Television Workshop, CBS National Sunrise Semester, ASCD, The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and state education departments just to name a few.  She is the author of seven books and a well know presenter throughout the United States.

Non-system/unemployed participants from the Northwest Georgia RESA area seeking renewal of certificate (Tuition as listed for Non-NWGA RESA registrants)

Personnel employed by a system that is not a member of a Georgia RESA such as private schools or agencies (Tuition as listed for Non-NWGA RESA registrants)

Out-of-State personnel (Tuition as listed for Non-NWGA RESA registrants)
