Course Description

Blended Model

Hybrid teaching is not just a matter of transferring a portion of your traditional course to the Web. Instead, it involves developing challenging and engaging online learning activities that complement your face-to-face activities. Participants will demonstrate the ability to create engaging content within a learning management system. 

Summer:
Participants will demonstrate the ability to create assessments within learning management systems.

Participants will demonstrate the ability to create course activities that support learner interaction and engagement.

Participants will demonstrate the ability to understand, integrate, and apply quality design standards to blending learning environments.

Academic Year:
Participants will be able to construct learning activities designed to empower student's voice and ensure that learning is a student-driven process based on ISTE standards.

August: Empowered Learners
Students leverage technology to take an active role in choosing, achieving and demonstrating competency in their learning goals, informed by the learning sciences.  

September: Digital Citizen  
Students recognize the rights, responsibilities and opportunities of living, learning and working in an interconnected digital world, and they act and model in ways that are safe, legal and ethical.

October: Knowledge Constructor  
Students critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.

November: Innovative Designer
Students use a variety of technologies within a design process to identify and solve problems by creating new, useful or imaginative solutions.  

December: Computational Thinker
Students develop and employ strategies for understanding and solving problems in ways that leverage the power of technological methods to develop and test solutions.  

January: Creative Communicator
Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats and digital media appropriate to their goals.  

February: Global Collaborator
Students use digital tools to broaden their perspectives and enrich their learning by collaborating with others and working effectively in teams locally and globally.

Registration for courses must be received prior to the registration deadline. Your registration status will remain pending until we have received approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator and registration fee. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. 

If you choose PERSONAL PAY as your payment method, you must submit a money order or cashier's check to pay for this class prior to the first day of class.

If you choose DISTRICT/SYSTEM PAY as your payment method, the district must submit a system check to pay for the class. Please make payable to Oconee RESA and send to address below.

Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy
Notification of cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received before the registration deadline. Withdrawals/Cancellations received after the registration deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be refundable.
