Check & Connect is a research-based intervention. Implementing it with fidelity helps schools and organizations optimize outcomes. This training is a 2-day competency training designed to provide participants with information, competencies, and skills needed to be an effective mentor at their local site. The training is designed for those assigned the role of Check & Connect mentor. During the training the participants will learn about and understand: The core components and elements of Check & Connect; the role and expectations of the

Check & Connect mentor; the population of students they are mentoring and how to best meet their needs; how to implement the "Check" and "Connect" procedures with fidelity; the competencies and skills needed to be an effective mentor, such as: building relationships with students, families, and school personnel, using data to determine interventions, reflective listening, problem–solving, and engaging with families.

Target Audience:

Classroom Teachers, Counselors, District Administration, Instructional Facilitators/Coaches, Instructional Technologists, Media Specialists, School-Level Administration 

 General Education and Special Education teachers may attend.

Registration for courses must be received prior to the registration deadline. Your registration status will remain pending until we have received approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator and registration fee. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. 

If you choose PERSONAL PAY as your payment method, you must submit a money order or cashier's check to pay for this class prior to the first day of class.

Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy
Notification of cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received before the registration deadline. Withdrawals/Cancellations received after the registration deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be refundable.
