Course Description

This course is designed to provide teachers with an understanding of how to rely on data to inform teaching and learning. During this course, Shani Vickery of the Georgia Charter School Association will present strategies to teachers to support data-driven instruction to students in order to see academic growth


Learning Target:

1.  Teachers will learn how to use data to guide teaching and learning.

2. Teachers and students will be able to utilize portfolios to track student learning.

3. Teachers and students will be able to monitor data for their classroom.

4. Teachers and students will be able to utilize the data from the classroom and portfolios to establish student learning targets and methods to achieve success with each other.

5. Teachers will be able to conference with students regarding data and assist with goal setting.

6. Students will be able to set goals for each unit of study and track their success toward those goals.

7. Students will be able to speak to their data and progress within the class.

8. Students will be able to reflect on their work and the work of others in attaining exemplary status.

If you choose DISTRICT/SYSTEM PAY as your payment method, the district must submit a system check to pay for the class. Please make payable to Oconee RESA and send to address below.

Withdrawal/Cancellation Policy
Notification of cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received before the registration deadline. Withdrawals/Cancellations received after the registration deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be refundable.
