Course Description

Presenter: Kevin Raczynski, Georgia Center of Assessment

In these 3- hour sessions, there will be a focus on the 3 types of on-demand text-dependent writing found on the End of Grade (EOG) and End of Course (EOC) assessments in English language arts. These 3 types are short constructed-response, extended constructed-response (i.e., the narrative), and the extended writing task (i.e., the essay). Attention will be given to the format, alignment, reading passage(s), and scoring of all 3 types. Participants should expect to hone their understanding of how writing is assessed and scored on these summative assessments in English lanuage arts.
