Course Description
  • You must have an offer of a teaching position in Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jasper, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Twiggs or any other system currently serviced under MGRESA prior to enrolling in this course.  
  • Registrants must have completed a GaTAPP Pre-screening application with MGRESA prior to enrolling in the course.  
  • Verification of employment will be required before you will be approved for the course.  
  • If space is available, those without a teaching position will be allowed in the class for a fee of $500.00.  Individuals that choose to pay and take the course are eligible to begin in the GaTAPP Program as soon as a full-time position is obtained.  Once a position is obtained and participants begin the program, the $500 will be posted toward the first year fees. 
  • The Essentials Training is valid for three years.  Individuals will have three years to obtain a teaching position.  After that point, the course must be re-taken. 

 

Class Notes
The Essentials course is 80 hours.

You are required to attend ALL sessions.

Your registration status will remain pending until we receive the registration fee and approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. Registration Fees are posted for each course.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
