Course Description
The Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (TKES) became the teacher evaluation system in Georgia during the 2011-12 school year.  School and district leaders who evaluate teachers have been required to be credentialed in the processes and standards of TKES.  Each year after school or district leaders receive the initial TKES credentialing, the leader is required to complete an online TKES Review.


The Teacher and Leader Support and Development team is offering an alternative to the required online TKES Review for those individuals who have already completed the TKES Initial Credentialing.   To provide the best required review and service possible, the Teacher and Leader Support and Development team, along with RESA staff, is scheduling a one day face-to-face TKES Credentialing Re-Certification in all RESAs.  Registration can be completed at each RESA.  All participants who attend will receive a “Credentialed with Distinction” certificate. 


Highlights include:

  • =         TKES Process Review/Update for the upcoming school year
  • =         “Deeper Dive” into Teacher Assessment on Performance Standards (TAPS)
  • =         Inter-Rater Reliability emphasizing Objectivity, Alignment, Representativeness (OAR)


Please note that this one day TKES Credentialing Re-Certification is optional for participants but highly recommended.  If participants are unable to attend the TKES Credentialing Re-Certificationthe online TKES Review will be provided

Registration for courses must be received online prior to the registration deadline. Space is limited and is based on first come, first serve basis. Your registration status will remain pending until we receive the registration fee and approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
