Course Description

Join our one day workshop designed to help K-12 Georgia teachers integrate

Service-Learning in Civic Engagement (SLICE).

  • Learn how to plan and implement service-learning projects using the backwards planning approach, and the five-step inquiry based “IPARD” cycle (investigation, planning and preparation, action, reflection, and demonstration of learning).*
  • Become eligible to apply for a $500 stipend to integrate SLICE in your instruction this fall.
  • Enjoy complimentary doughnuts and lunch!

Your registration status will remain pending until we receive the registration fee and approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. Registration Fees are posted for each course.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
