Course Description
The Leader Keys Effectiveness System (LKES) became the leader evaluation system in Georgia
during the 2011-12 school year. School and district evaluators have been required to be
credentialed in the processes and standards of LKES. Each year after school or district
evaluators receive the initial LKES credentialing, the evaluator is required to complete an online
LKES Required Review.

The Teacher and Leader Support and Development team is offering an alternative to the
required online LKES Review for those individuals who have already completed the LKES Initial
Credentialing. To provide the best review and service possible, the Teacher and Leader
Support and Development team is scheduling a ½ day LKES Credentialing Re-Certification.
Registration can be completed at local RESAs. All participants who attend will receive a
“Credentialed with Distinction” certificate.

Highlights include:

  • LKES Process Review/Update for the 2018-19 school year
  • “Deeper Dive” into Leader Assessment on Performance Standards (LAPS)

Please note that this ½ day LKES Credentialing Re-Certification is optional for participants, but

highly recommended. If participants are unable to attend the LKES Credentialing Re-

Certification, the online LKES Required Review will be provided.
