Course Description
The Endorsement is divided into three courses consisting of two 5 PLU classes and one 7 plu class and must be taken in sequence.  Completion of the three courses is required in order to add the Gifted endorsement to an existing level 4 professional teaching certificate or higher.
This course provides an overview of gifted learners and special populations.  Cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral characteristics of gifted children necessitate different instructional design.  This course will address methods by which the unique characteristics can be addressed in instruction and learning environment.  This course also addresses the instruments used in the process of identifying and serving gifted students.
You have up to 12 weeks from your start date to complete the class.

Class Notes
Since students are required to complete most assignments, candidates must begin course on or before March 6th.  Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis to start at a later date.  However, it is the candidates responsibility to be finished by May 29th.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
