Assessment & Program Implementation for the Gifted – 10 sessions plus field work – 50 hours

Assessment & Program Implementation for the Gifted provides an overview of the various assessment tools used to identify the gifted learner as well as an overview of program models utilized to create enriching environments for gifted students. The course also prepares participants to use various types of classroom assessments appropriately to meet the needs of gifted students. Additionally, participants apply gifted education principles to a field experience they create, plan, implement, and evaluate.  The field experience is a 25-hour face-to-face learning opportunity designed for participation between candidates and gifted and talented students.  Documentation and evidence of the field experience is due at end of the course.

Registration for courses must be received online prior to the registration deadline. Space is limited and is based on first come, first serve basis. Your registration status will remain pending until we receive the registration fee and approval from your system Professional Learning Coordinator. The registration fee must be submitted immediately. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
