Course Description

This one day workshop is based on the book: Emotional Poverty in All Demographics: How to Reduce Anger, Anxiety, and Violence in the Classroom by Dr. Ruby Payne.

During this workshop teachers will learn:

  • The origins of anger, anxiety, and avoidance
  • A language to talk about brain regulation, integration, and emotional competence
  • Strategies to address and reduce anger, anxiety, and avoidance
  • Tools to motivate good behavior
  • The differences in male and female emotional processing

Participants will receive a copy of the book "Emotional Poverty in all Demographics: How to Reduce Anger, Anxiety and Violence in the Classroom" by Dr. Ruby Payne

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation for any course must be received prior to the registration deadline. Registration fees are refundable only if cancellation is received by the registration deadline. Any cancellations received after the deadline will not be accepted and fees will not be returned. If cancellation is not made and registrant does not attend the course, the status will be "No Show" and payment will still be required.
