Bio

First elected to represent District 17 in 2014, Jeff Weninger serves Chandler, Gilbert, and Sun Lakes, where he lives with his wife, Janet, and their three children.

Jeff is the Chairman of the House Commerce Committee and serves on the House Banking and Insurance, and Ways and Means committees. Throughout his time at the Capitol, Jeff has demonstrated his ability to lead on critical issues, including regulatory reform, the creation of a business-friendly economy, access to capital for small businesses, and investment in our education system. Jeff understands firsthand that employers demand a strong education system, which is why his efforts center on creating great jobs and a well-prepared workforce.

Jeff is the co-owner of two local restaurant concepts with several locations throughout the valley. Since opening the doors to his first restaurant over 20 years ago, Jeff has employed hundreds of Arizonans, fed thousands, and contributed to the local economy as a small business owner. Jeff and his wife, Janet, both volunteer with charities benefitting children in crisis.

Before serving as a State Representative, Jeff served on the Chandler City Council and held the position of Vice Mayor. Due in large part to Jeff's leadership and fiscal responsibility, Chandler's budget was one of the strongest in the state during the economic downturn - and he accomplished it without cutting important services to Chandler residents.

Representative Weninger is proud to serve the citizens of Arizona. He has made a commitment to be a leader for small businesses, education dollars in the classrooms and to ensure the safety and protection of every citizen in the great state of Arizona.
