Our Country was built on people who have served, sacrificed and took risks for the freedom of our nation. Barry is no stranger to public service.
Upon completing High School, Barry joined the US Coast Guard, 1st being stationed in Florida patrolling the Caribbean chasing down drug runners and illegal immigrants from Hatti, Cuba and Dominican Republic, then to Delaware for more Law Enforcement and Search & Rescue. The US Coast Guard had given Barry a spark for Serving the public, Leadership and Law Enforcement. Barry set out a career in Law Enforcement with assignments on Patrol, US Customs Police Explorer, College Greek Liaison and assignment to a Federal/Statewide Drug Task Force.
Business and Community Background
After an early retirement, Barry moved into business. Over the last 27 years he has owned several business' in several different industries including Computer Technology, NASCAR and the powersports industry. He currently Owns Beartooth Harley-Davidson, Mahindra Roxor & Royal Enfield.
Before running for office, Barry was involved in the local community, serving on many Boards including- President Red Lodge Area Chamber of Commerce, President Red Lodge Area Economic Development Corporation, Chapter President Big Sky YPO (Young Presidents Organization), President Metra Park Advisory Board, a Board member of the Metra Park Foundation and Board Member of the FFOR (Families for Outdoor Recreation).
Family
Barry is extremely proud of his wife Ann Marie and 4 children, Jennifer Ellingham (Tom), Katherine, Brian (Jamie) and Hannah and 5 grandchildren, Daniel, Reagan, Barry, Allison and James.
Barry prioritizes the time and involvement he dedicates to his family. From traveling across the country, camping, Fly Fishing, motorcyling or attending political events together, Barry's family is the core aspect of his life.
