BioClaire Swift is a respected local attorney, mother of three children, and lifelong resident of Atlantic County. A former Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey, she now serves as managing partner at her family-owned private practice in Northfield, Swift Law Firm, LLC. Claire primarily practices family law with an extensive network of satisfied clients throughout Atlantic and Cape May counties.
Claire was born the sixth of eight siblings in Margate, New Jersey and graduated from Atlantic City High School with the Class of 1992. She worked her way through the University of Pennsylvania to pay off her student loan debt and commuted to Widener University Law School in Delaware to cut down on costs.
After earning her law degree, Claire clerked in Atlantic City for the Honorable Michael Winkelstein, the Assignment Judge for the Atlantic/Cape vicinage. She was later sworn in as a Deputy Attorney General and assigned to represent the Division of Youth and Family Services (DYFS). Claire worked side-by-side with social workers, volunteer CASA workers, and law enforcement to ensure that abused and neglected children were rescued from dangerous situations and placed in a safe and healthy living environment.
Following her time with DYFS, Claire opened Swift Law Firm, LLC with two of her brothers where she has continued her passion for supporting and defending families during the entire legal process. Claire is heavily engaged in her local community, especially with her children's activities. She is a member of the Stockton's Women's Leadership Council, Jewish Federation of Atlantic & Cape May Counties, Katz JCC Early Childhood Committee, Atlantic County Chamber of Commerce, and Atlantic County Board of Realtors.
Claire lives in Margate - on the same street she grew up on - with her husband, John, and three children- Jack (10), Anthony (8) and Claire (8).
