BioMeet Rob Stafsholt
"I love our area. My family has called Western Wisconsin home for 4 generations. Now I want to continue to give back by serving the people of this district in the State Senate. I will put my experience as a father, small businessman, and farmer to work by building a strong economy that allows our private sector to succeed and create good-paying jobs; enhancing economic development; reducing the size of state government; supporting educational opportunities for our children, and holding the line on taxes."
Rob Stafsholt with daughter
Rob is a proud, lifelong resident of St. Croix County. He has helped manage his family's farm for over 25 years as a 4th generation farmer. He has a teenage daughter, Maggie, who works on the family farm and in the family business.
Rob is a 1994 graduate of New Richmond High School and attended both UW-Eau Claire and UW-River Falls. Rob is a small businessman committed to fostering an environment that creates good-paying jobs, expanding economic development opportunities, and encouraging a small business-friendly atmosphere for our area.
Rob's business experience includes previously running his family's food manufacturing company; working as a mortgage loan originator in St. Croix Falls and New Richmond; owning and operating several rental properties and real estate investments; and recently starting and running a waste disposal company in the area.
Rob was elected to the State Assembly in November 2016, and voters re-elected him two years later. During his time representing the 29th Assembly District, Rob has been a leader on many issues facing Northwest Wisconsin.
Rob is an active member of the New Richmond community-
Member of the New Richmond Chamber of Commerce
Lifetime Member of the NRA, Richardson Sportsman Club, and Balsam Lake Rod & Gun Club
Member of St. Croix County Farm Bureau
Member of the Wisconsin Property Taxpayers Inc.
Member of the St. Croix Republican Party
Served on the Town of Erin Prairie's Planning Commission
Has been a member of sportsman clubs like Wisconsin Bear Hunters Association, Safari Club International, National Wild Turkey Federation, and Sportsmen's Alliance
Rob believes that the government should work for US, and not the other way around. If elected, he will continue the fight for family-supporting jobs and economic development opportunities for our region. Further, Rob will fight against fraud, waste, and abuse in state government.
