Bio

A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Ellzey has served our country and Texas for 33 years and counting. He grew up in Perryton, Texas, and after graduating from the Naval Academy, he started his life dedicated to serving our country.

Throughout his 20-year Naval career, Ellzey has flown H-60 helicopters, F-14 Tomcats, F/A-18 Hornets, and Super Hornets in defense of our Nation. A survivor of 830 carrier landings, he served a tour embedded with Navy SEALs and called in air support in 2006 in Anbar province, Iraq. After his Navy career, he served Texas as a Commissioner of the Texas Veterans Commission, the State Representative of the 10th District of Texas, and is an airline pilot and businessman.

Congressman Ellzey is committed to supporting military veterans, supporting our armed forces in facing the increased complexity of foreign threats, protecting private property rights, stopping proposed high-speed rail in Texas, protecting the sanctity of life, defending the 2nd amendment, and returning American to lower federal spending and debt and deficit reduction.

He is proudest of his family, and he and his wife Shelby are raising their children on their homestead in Ellis County.
