BioRepresentative Chris Murphy is a lifelong resident of Dorchester County. Upon graduating from the Citadel, Murphy pursued a law degree at Mississippi College where he met his wife Maite Murphy.
Chris and Maite have two sons Austin and Jackson.
Representative Chris Murphy has spent his entire adult life serving the residents of Dorchester County.
First, as a prosecutor for the First Judicial Circuit Chris prosecuted violent criminals in order to keep our communities safe and a special assistant United States Attorney.
Then, Chris was elected to Dorchester County Council. In 2010, Chris was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives.
