Bio

Daniel Rosenthal was elected to the New York State Assembly in November 2017 When first elected in November 2017, Daniel Rosenthal became the youngest member of the New York State Assembly. He quickly established himself as a leader on a wide range of issues and a fierce fighter for his district.

A graduate of Landers College, Daniel studied political science and took a keen interest in local politics. Working for Councilmember Rory Lancman as District Director, Daniel rooted himself in the community. Through meeting with local leaders, constituents, and government agencies, he developed an acute sense of the district's needs. aboutPhoto.jpg Upon his arrival to Albany, Daniel wasted no time making sure that his constituents had a voice in every conversation that was important to them. Daniel makes it clear that no issue is too small for him to brush aside and none too large for his strong advocacy.

Daniel's vision for the future of Queens is one where families can afford to set down roots, schools offer the highest quality education and good paying employment opportunities are in abundance. A place where fair labor practices are standard, where access to affordable quality healthcare is available to all, and a place where religious practices are never impeded or threatened. A community where people of all different backgrounds and traditions come together with shared values and ideals to work hard and ensure a better brighter future for all.

Daniel Rosenthal currently chairs the Task Force on Food, Farm and Nutrition Policy and sits on the Assembly Standing Committees of Aging, Health, Insurance, Labor, Real Property Taxation and Social Services. Daniel proudly represents the neighborhoods of Pomonok, Electchester, Kew Gardens Hills, College Point and parts of Kew Gardens, Briarwood, Richmond Hill and Whitestone.
