Bio

Rep. Jack Fortner is serving his third full term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 99 which includes portions of Marion, Boone, Baxter, and Searcy counties.

For the 93rd General Assembly, Rep. Fortner serves as the Vice-Chairperson of the House Revenue & Taxation Committee. He also serves on the Joint Budget Committee, Joint Performance Review Committee, House Management Committee, and the House Agriculture, Forestry & Economic Development Committee. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He is an alumnus of the University of Nevada.

Rep. Fortner is a small business owner and cattleman.

Rep. Fortner previously served as a Justice of the Peace for Marion County. He also served as a member of the Marion County Regional Airport Board and the Planning Commission Rep. Fortner is a member of the American Legion and the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association.

He has taught Sunday School classes for the last 25 years.
