Bio

As a lifelong resident of Highland, Dan Dernulc knows what makes Lake County a special place to live, work, and raise a family. He and his wife, Cindy, are proud to have raised four children here, and want everyone to have the same opportunities they have been able to enjoy.

Dan has served on the Highland Town Council, Little Calumet River Basin Development Commission, and Lake County Council. As a member of the Lake County Council, Dan has fought to keep taxes low, enact a strategic plan for the county, and provided salary increases for local corrections and police officers.

Dan knows how to work with both sides of the aisle and wants to use his experience to solve the problems we currently face, make government more accountable, and ensure progress for all Hoosiers.
