I am Vincent J. "Vinney" St. Blanc and I want to be YOUR voice representing Louisiana House of Representatives District 50 which encompasses St. Mary & St. Martin Parishes. I am a lifelong Louisianan experienced in the business, political and education sectors of our State and a seasoned problem solver and negotiator. The son of an oil field owner with first hand knowledge of the oil and gas industry with my career beginnings as a Louisiana educator and later coupled with entrepreneurial and political service has given me vast knowledge and great understanding of our State's economic and tax structure. My appointment to the Louisiana's Community and Technical Colleges Board by Governor Kathleen Blanco, Governor Bobby Jindal and Governor John Bel Edwards has given me the opportunity to help grow the work force through continuing education and economic development. On October 12, I humbly as for your vote to continue the progress set forth by State Representative Sam Jones as his seat becomes term limited.

EXPERIENCE 2005-Present Louisiana Community & Technical College Systems Board of Supervisors Board Chairman from July 2010-2012 As a Member of the LCTCS Board I have gained knowledge of growing Louisiana's Workforce through Education and Economic Development while working across our Legislative aisles to bring forth bipartisan action.

2018 Baldwin Lumber, LLC Owner & Manager As a small business owner I have gained first hand knowledge of the impact Louisiana's Economy has on the consumer which effects all aspects from Tourism, Economic Development to Cultural Development especially within our rural towns and cities. 2005-2018 Steward Building Materials Manager As a manager of a small business I've learned to be fiscally conservative when ensuring our budget was sound to create longevity while ensuring our workforce was paid adequately. 1980-2005 St. Mary Hardware & Gifts Owner & President As an owner and a Main Street Merchant not only being a part of the major city's tourism corridor but truly understanding how this major corridor of a City can directly impact the entire Quality of Life of citizens. 2004 City of Franklin Mayor Receiving unanimous support from the Franklin City Council to fill the outgoing Mayor's seat after receiving an appointment was truly humbling. I made the decision at the time not to run for another term as I too received an appointment by Governor Kathleen Blanco. 1970-1980 Centerville High School Educator & Coach Vocational Adult Education Teacher, Vocational Agriculture Teacher, Future Farmers of America Advisor, Basketball/Track Coach.

1978 - First State Championship Centerville High School (Track) 1976 - FFA State Champions and National Finalists for two judging teams. EDUCATION Class of 1971 University of Southwestern Louisiana(USL) Lafayette, LA Bachelor's Degree UNIVERSITY Bachelor of Science Major- Vocational Agriculture Education, Minor- Business Certified Teacher, State of Louisiana Class of 1966 Hanson Memorial High School Franklin, Louisiana HIGH SCHOOL Receiving a Christ centered education has shaped me into the person I have become today.
