Bio

State Rep. Pauline Wendzel was first elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in November 2018. She represents the new 39th House District, which includes Coloma, Watervliet, and Bainbridge in Berrien County. All Van Buren County except Covert and South Haven are part of the district as well as Lee, Cheshire, Trowbridge, and part of Otsego Township in Allegan County.

Committees Rep. Wendzel is the Republican vice chair of the House Energy, Communications, and Technology Committee. She also sits on the Regulatory Reform, Judiciary, and Education committees.

Education Wendzel is an alumnus from both Watervliet High School and Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology and food industry marketing.

Professional and personal Pauline is a lifelong Bainbridge Township resident from a proud fourth generation farming family.

Growing up and working on her family farm, counseling young children at Five Pines Christian Day Camp, preserving Southwest Michigan heritage as a director at a local museum, and serving as the deputy clerk of Bainbridge Township, Pauline learned the value of hard work and getting the job done right. Pauline takes that same work ethic to Lansing every day as she fights for the hardworking residents of Southwest Michigan.
