Bio

Dotie Joseph is an attorney and legislator serving in the Florida House of Representatives since 2018. Born in Haiti, she moved to Florida in 1982 and has since been an advocate for legal justice, community empowerment, and human rights.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Yale College in 2001 and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005. Residing in North Miami, Joseph is actively involved in various civic and legal organizations, including the City of North Miami Board of Adjustment, Miami-Dade County Black Affairs Advisory Board, and The Florida Bar's Federal Court Practice Committee. She also serves as First Vice Chair of the Miami-Dade County Democratic Executive Committee.

Her commitment to public service and advocacy has earned her numerous accolades, including the Women on the Rise Award from the Dade County Bar Association, Florida Legal Elite Government Attorney recognition from Florida Trend Magazine, and 40 Under 40 honors from both Legacy Magazine and the Haitian American Chamber of Commerce of Florida.
