Jason loves the outdoors and is an avid fisherman, hunter, and lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Jason currently lives on the same farm where he grew up, and is raising three beautiful children- Colin, Claire, and Otto.

A FATHER A BUSINESSMAN A LEGISLATIVE LEADER Get Involved As a father, Jason knows that every life is precious, and believes in protecting the values that made America great with commonsense solutions from the American heartland. It is more important than ever to defend our rural way of life and to preserve our freedoms. He works every day to ensure the next generation has more opportunity than the previous.

Jason as a Father Jason as a Businessman After graduating from the University of Missouri - Columbia, Jason returned to the family farm, and expanded the business in both size and scope. Today, Bean Farms is an ag business leader, raising crops and providing a range of ag services. As an agribusinessman, he knows the importance of keeping government out of the way in order to keep family-sustaining jobs in Missouri and create opportunities for our businesses to compete in the global marketplace.

From 2002-2011, Jason served on the United Soybean Board and participated in trade missions around the world to find customers and expand markets for American soybeans. He also worked with the USA Rice Producers Board and the National Cotton Council to increase exports of cotton and rice, further promoting agricultural products in the global economy. Jason also served as interim superintendent of the University of Missouri's top agricultural research facility, and was elected chair of the Advisory Board of MU's Fisher Delta Research, Extension, and Education Center, which consists of seven research labs, eight greenhouses, and five different research farms conducting world class research. Jason received the 2015 Missouri Governor's Award for Agricultural Achievement and the 2019 Southern Cotton Ginners Agricultural Achievement Award. He is a Missouri Farm Bureau member and was appointed by the Governor to serve as a Missouri Agriculture and Small Business Development Authority Commissioner in 2016.

In 2020, Jason renewed the Bean family's commitment to public service by offering himself as a candidate for state senate. Elected by the voters of the 25 th district, he represents Butler, Carter, Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Pemiscot, Ripley, Stoddard, and Wayne Counties in the Missouri Senate.
