Marilyn J. Praisner Public Service Award

The Marilyn J. Praisner
Public Service Award was established to honor the legacy of former Montgomery
County Council Member, Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Past President,
and beloved public servant Marilyn J. Praisner. The award recognizes those current
or former elected county officials who have demonstrated outstanding service to
a county, his or her constituents, and MACo.
The University of
Maryland School of Public Policy, in collaboration with MACo and with the
support of the Local Government Insurance Trust, invite nominations for this
prestigious award.
Details for Nomination:
- Nominations
submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- Submit nomination via online form no later than 11:59 pm on October 21, 2022.
- Nominee must be a living current or former Maryland county elected official.
- Nominating individual must be a current or former Maryland county elected official or county staff person.
- Each nominating individual may submit only one application; individuals from the same county may submit different applications (ie, the nomination does not need to be approved by the county governing body – the nominations are meant to be from individuals, not from the county itself).
- Nomination must include nominee’s biographical information or list of accomplishments.
- Nominations submitted previously MAY be re-submitted for consideration.
- Previous award winners are NOT eligible for nomination.
