Additional Event Information

The Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia invites prosecutors and law enforcement to attend the Evaluation & Preparation of the DUI Case Webinar on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am. It offers 1 CLE and/or POST hour.

Description of Training:
What can prosecutors do to effectively prepare a DUI case? Better stated: What steps does the defense attorney use to analyze the State’s case for weaknesses? This webinar will focus upon the process of information that all DUI cases share, and will provide prosecutors with a few tips to identify any areas of legitimate – not wishful defense thinking – concern.

CLE/POST/Advocate Credit
CLE: Please note the CLE credit will fall under the in-house/self-study rule. The rule has a six hour maximum on CLE credits (increased to 12 for 2019). A webinar falls in the same category as a video review. The supreme Court of Georgia allowed ALL 2019 CLE hours to be completed by approved in-house or distance learning seminars. The deadline for this is April 30, 2020. If you are requesting CLE hours, there is a $4 charge. Please mail the CLE form and the check to PAC. A copy of the CLE form will be provided in your email confirmation.

POST: We are excited to now offer POST credit through webinars! In order to receive POST credit for this webinar, you must listen to the webinar live not review the recorded version. We are asked to take attendance at the start and the end of the session to show who is on the call. You must sign in with your first and last name to receive credit and be present for the entire webinar. A copy of the POST form will be provided in your email confirmation. At the end of the webinar, please email the form to training@pacga.org.

Advocate: Unfortunately this topic does not apply to victim services, therefore no credit is available. We will not be able to issue a certificate. You are welcome to attend, but you will not receive credit.
