The Prosecuting Attorneys' Council of Georgia invites prosecutors and law enforcement to attend the Introduction to Arson Prosecution Webinar on Monday, May 11, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am. It offers 1 CLE and/or POST hour. 

Description of this Training:

Despite the efforts of all those involved in fire prevention, education and law enforcement, arson continues to be a serious problem in the United States. It continues to be the leading cause of fires across the nation, according to statistics gathered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (Uniform Crime Reports). The objective of this webinar is to provide an introduction to the basics of the fire investigation, motives of the arsonist and tips/tools to effectively prosecute arson cases.

Presenting on this topic will be Ms. Patricia Hull, Senior Assistant District Attorney from the Cobb Judicial Circuit.  

CLE, POST, & Advocate

CLE: Please note the CLE credit will fall under the in-house/self-study rule. The rule has a six hour maximum on CLE credits (increased to 12 for 2019). A webinar falls in the same category as a video review. The supreme Court of Georgia allowed ALL 2019 CLE hours to be completed by approved in-house or distance learning seminars. The deadline for this is April 30, 2020. If you are requesting CLE hours, there is a $4 charge. Please mail the CLE form and the check to PAC. A copy of the CLE form will be provided in your email confirmation.

POST: We are excited to now offer POST credit through webinars! In order to receive POST credit for this webinar, you must listen to the webinar live not review the recorded version. We are asked to take attendance at the start and the end of the session to show who is on the call. You must sign in with your first and last name to receive credit and be present for the entire webinar. At the end of the webinar, please email the form to A copy of the POST form will be provided in your email confirmation.
