Virtual Summer Conference 2020: Week One | Opioid Crimes Track

According to the Office of the Attorney General, "Georgia is also among the top 11 states with the most opioid overdose deaths, and 55 Georgia counties have an overdose rate higher than the national average."

This will be a four part webinar series all related to major opioid crimes. You're welcome to only attend certain sessions, but you will not be able to receive credit for sessions you did not attend. Please see the agenda below:

Session One | Monday, July 13, 2020 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Investigating Overdose Cases for Future Prosecution by Special Agent Mitchell Posey, Georgia Bureau of Investigation

Session Two | Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Using All Legal Tools for Fighting Opioids: RICO & Felony Murder by Mr. John Floyd, Partner, Bondurant, Mixon & Elmore LLP

CLE, POST, & Advocate: All forms will be sent after the last session of the track on Thursday, July 16.

CLE: Please note the CLE credit will fall under the in-house/self-study rule. A webinar falls in the same category as a video review. The supreme Court of Georgia allowed ALL 2020 CLE hours to be completed by approved in-house or distance learning seminars. The deadline for this is March 31, 2021. For more information on this rule, please click HERE.

POST: We are excited to now offer POST credit through webinars! In order to receive POST credit for this webinar, you must listen to the webinar live not review the recorded version. We are asked to take attendance at the start and the end of the session to show who is on the call. You must sign in with your first and last name to receive credit and be present for the entire webinar.

Advocate: Due to the nature of this content, there will be no advocate credit given.
